Carnival in Rio De Janeiro

Carnival is the most important event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil held at the height of summer. A million tourists join millions of Rio de Janeiro citizens in revelry over a 4-day festival.

The highlight of the carnival is the Sambadrome or Samba Parade. The parade is widespread in many countries and all Brazilian states. The Sambadrome is a strip of 700 meters long and flanked spectator stands and luxury boxes. The main attraction is the sounds of the samba schools parade and continue until dawn. Only the 14 best samba schools parade through the Sambadrome selected. Each samba school has a richly decorated float, often accompanied by women sensual vibrations with the hypnotic music.
